Message From Administration: Winterfest 2024!!

Winterim is one of the most unique and exciting things that Maeser does, so we’re excited to host Winterfest 2024 on Thursday, January 25th, from 4:30-7pm here at the school. High school students are required to attend and should be in their full dress uniform, and we invite middle school students, families, friends, and community members to come and see all the exciting things our high school students have been doing during Winterim.

Students will have their projects on display in their respective Winterim classrooms and in the gym, so feel free to wander and explore the different Winterim classes.

WHEN: Thursday, January 25 from 4:30-7:00pm
WHERE: Maeser

Each Winterim class will be showcasing what they’ve learned and created during Winterim this year!

Here’s a small taste of what you can look forward to at Winterfest…

  • The Music Dance Theater Winterim will be presenting a blackbox showcase at 6pm on the Stage – everyone is invited to attend! The students will present individual pieces as well as group pieces to showcase what they have learned during Winterim in terms of music dance theater.
  • The Dungeons and Dragons Winterim was focused on creating a unique experience for our seventh grade MSI groups. We studied (and played) the game every day, learning how to create new mechanics, worthwhile motivations for the adventures, and much more. Come by room 210 to see some of our class’ modules and talk to the students about their design process.
  • The Physics of Roller Coasters Winterim invites you to come see our amazing coasters! Our students have designed and built six different coasters for you to come and play with. Ask our students to name the elements in their coaster and describe the forces you would feel on their coaster. Then, step inside room #151 to hear all about our trip to California as we teach you a little about roller coaster engineering and design.

We’re excited to welcome you to campus this afternoon to explore Winterfest!

Winterim Used Uniform Sale TONIGHT!

The Uniform Committee is sponsoring a Used Uniform Sale during Winterfest, from 4:30-7:00pm.

Many students have had a HUGE growth spurt over the past semester and lengths of pants and skirts are getting shorter — so this is the perfect time to pull out those uniform items that no longer fit your student and size up at the Winterfest Used Uniform Sale, in time for Semester 2.

If you don’t have items to sell or buy, stop by to see samples from our new upcoming vendor, Tommy Hilfiger!

Volunteer Help Needed!

The used uniform exchange is a parent-sponsored and run opportunity to allow parents to resell their students’ uniforms and for parents to purchase needed uniforms in good condition at a low cost. We need your help to make these events happen! Volunteering for the sale is a great way to meet other parents and get in some service hours. For more details and to sign up, please visit our SignUpGenius: Maeser Winterfest Used Uniform Sale.

To Sell Uniforms

    • The front office cannot take items for the uniform exchange. Please drop off uniforms to be sold ONLY at the designated times.
  5. Sign the Uniform Exchange Waiver (available at drop-off)

PLEASE NOTE:
**The uniform committee reserves the right to turn away any uniform items that are not in good condition or that do not meet the Uniform Code.

Applications for New Students Close Wednesday, January 31

If you would like your current student’s sibling(s) to attend Maeser next year, you must submit an application by January 31, 2024 for each sibling here: https://maeserprep.org/admissions/
