Have Your 2024-25 Plans Changed?
If your plans for 2024-25 enrollment have changed and your student will not be attending Maeser Prep, please contact us ASAP to let us know by emailing us at registrar@maeserprep.org. Please include your student’s name, their 2024-25 grade, and the school they will be attending next year, so we can make sure your student’s school file is sent to the correct school.

2024-25 Class Schedules
PowerSchool is currently offline so we can put the finishing touches on student schedules for 2024-25. The parent and student portals will reopen on Monday, August 5 with 2024-25 class schedules. Schedule change information will be given at that time.
If your student is new to Maeser this year, you will receive an email during the week of August 1-4 with your parent login information for PowerSchool.
7th & 8th Grade SOAR Binder School Supplies
Required School Supplies – To be Provided by Student
The Soar Binder and Home File are used by our middle school students for all classes.
- 1 1/2 “ heavy duty 3 ring binder with view cover – ONE binder is used for all classes (NOT zipper style or accordion style)
- Loose lined paper to go in binder- white
- White graph lined paper with three holes punched
- One plastic tabbed folder with pockets for each individual class (Avery 8 tab Binder Pockets – not Trapper Keeper folders)
- Writing tools—pens and pencils. Blue or Black ink, red pen for edits.
- Pencil Pouch that fits in binder rings – may contain extra lead, stapler, one hole punch.
- 1 File folder for each individual class (For home file)
- A box or container for file folders (For home file)

Fall Used Uniform Sale
All Maeser families are invited to join us on Wednesday, August 7 from 6-8 PM in the Maeser Gym for the Used Uniform Sale. This sale is an opportunity to allow parents to sell their old uniforms, (please hang onto them from this school year and bring them to sell) and for parents to purchase needed uniforms in good condition at a low cost.

We will only be selling items that parents bring to sell. Please bring your used uniforms to sell!
To SELL items: Drop off labeled items (envelope safety pinned to item, labeled with Name, Phone, Venmo QR code, Description, Price) that have been laundered along with the Parent Waiver Form (filled out) to the volunteer at Maeser (lunchroom) on Wednesday Aug 7, 8:30-9:30am or 3:30-6:00pm. All unsold items need to be picked up within 30 minutes of the close of the sale. Any money or clothing not picked up will be considered a donation to the school.
To BUY items: The used uniform sale is mostly CASH ONLY — bring lots of $1 and $5 bills. If parents who are selling items would like to write their Venmo Username (with QR code or last 4 digits of phone) on their envelopes, you can use Venmo, too. Checks and credit cards will not be accepted.
To help our school community, the Maeser Uniform Committee has created a suggested guideline for pricing:

Lunch Volunteers Needed!

Gift Cards for Teachers
Thank you for your support this year. Your generosity with bringing in food and helping with various needs has been overwhelming. Thank you!
At this time, we are asking for gift cards to give to teachers when they want to purchase items (including food) for various class activities, and for the administration to give to teachers for a pat on the back and a token of appreciation. Sports Announcements
HS Girls Soccer Tryouts
Monday, July 29th, 2:30-4:30pm at Maeser. Bring water. All athletes should complete their registration at www.registermyathlete.com prior to tryouts. Questions can be sent to Coach Simmons (dustin.simmons@maeserprep.org).
HS Boys Volleyball Tryouts
Monday and Tuesday, August 5 and 6 from 4-6pm
HS Girls Tennis
Summer Open Hits are Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:30-8:30am at Mountainview Courts. Team roster will be submitted on Monday, August 12th. Have your physicals done and turned in to Coach Wright BEFORE August 12th!

Fall Sports Academic Eligibility
Eligibility for participation in fall sports/activities will be determined by 4th term grades. All students (middle and high school) must have earned a 2.7 GPA with no Fs. In addition, 10th-12th grade students cannot have any Fs/NGs/Incompletes from previous high school terms.
Sports Physicals for 2024-25
All students, middle school and high school, who will be playing sports in 2024-25 need a physical in order to play. Physicals completed on or after March 10, 2024 are good until July 15, 2025. Any physicals completed before March 10, 2024 will not be accepted (per UHSAA policy) for the 2024-25 school year.

Counseling Announcements
Counseling Office Hours
Counselors are out of the office for summer break. We will be back in the office starting August 1. Schedule changes for high school will be done via a schedule change form. The link for that will be sent in August.
New 8th graders that need Latin 1 instead of Latin 2 and MS students that need a different math course should e-mail their counselor at heather.lewis@maeserprep.org.
Counseling Donations
The School Counseling team is in need of large bags of individual sized candy. You can use this towards your volunteer hours!
Kind: an assortment- chocolate, hard candy like jolly ranchers, tootsie pops or rolls, whatever comes in the assorted bags is fine. We would like some non-chocolate as well.
Amount Needed: 4-5 bags/month

It’s important to keep your contact information up to date and opt-in to receive text messages from Maeser — in case of an emergency, this is how we notify parents! In addition, we use your contact information to notify you about important school events and school fees deadlines.
Here’s how to make sure you’re getting all of our important announcements and information:
Opt In For School Text Messages
Our school utilizes the SchoolMessenger system to deliver text messages to your mobile phone with important information about events, school closings, safety alerts, student fees, and more. We will only use text messaging for urgent and important information.
You can participate in this service by sending a text message of “Y” or “Yes” to our school’s short code number, 67587.
You can also opt out of text messages at any time by simply replying to one of our messages with “Stop”.
Update Your Contact Information
If any of your contact information has changed – email address, mailing address, phone number – please let us know asap so we can be sure you’re getting school and teacher communications.
