Annual & Class Fees Due Wednesday, October 4

All annual fees and class fees (first semester & full year classes) are due on Wednesday, October 4. Balances after the due date will be charged a late fee (up to $15). Second semester class fees will be charged in February.

Some of you have already paid your student’s annual fees (Student Fee, Winterim & Graduation)–thank you! Now that schedules have settled down, we have also charged class fees. (Not all classes have associated fees, but some do.) You can see our fee schedule here: 23-24 Fee Schedule

If you would like to set up a payment plan for annual fees and class fees (except AP exams), please email finance@maeserprep.org before Wednesday, October 4. PLEASE NOTE: We do not set up payment plans for extracurricular sports and activities–these fees must be paid before your student can participate.

If you think you may qualify for a fee waiver, please email finance@maeserprep.org for an application before Wednesday, October 4.

If you have any questions, please email finance@maeserprep.org. We are happy to help!

Counseling Donations

The Middle School Counseling team is in need of large bags of individual sized candy. You can use this towards your volunteer hours!

Kind: an assortment- chocolate, hard candy like jolly ranchers, tootsie pops or rolls, whatever comes in the assorted bags is fine. We would like some non-chocolate as well.

Amount: 4-5 bags/month

The Importance of Routines

Routines are important in helping your student be successful. Help your student figure out an after school study routine that works for them. Where will they do their studying? Someplace that is not their bed is preferable. When a student studies on their bed, their brain thinks it is time to sleep so less information is absorbed.

Gather everything they might need during a study session and always keep it in the same place. Perhaps an inexpensive basket from the Dollar Store can hold pens, pencils, erasers, extra paper, and other things needed so time is not spent looking for supplies.

Next, write the routine on a paper or a calendar and post it where it can be seen by both the parent and the student. Don’t forget to add in any extracurricular activities or chores and breaks. This way it is easier to stay on track and everyone knows what needs to be done and when.

An example might be:

4 pm- after school snack and play with dog
4:30- 5:00 Work on Math
5-5:15- break
5:15-5:45- Latin
5:45- set table for supper
6 eat supper
7- church activity
8-8:30 read for English
9- family time then get ready for bed

Whatever works for your family and your student to help stay on track and get things done.

Can We Reach You In Case Of Emergency?

It’s important to keep your contact information up to date and opt-in to receive text messages from Maeser — in case of an emergency, this is how we notify parents! In addition, we use your contact information to notify you about important school events and school fees deadlines.

Here’s how to make sure you’re getting all of our important announcements and information:

Opt In For School Text Messages

Our school utilizes the SchoolMessenger system to deliver text messages to your mobile phone with important information about events, school closings, safety alerts, student fees, and more. We will only use text messaging for urgent and important information.

You can participate in this service by sending a text message of “Y” or “Yes” to our school’s short code number, 67587.

You can also opt out of text messages at any time by simply replying to one of our messages with “Stop”.

Update Your Contact Information

If any of your contact information has changed – email address, mailing address, phone number – please let us know asap so we can be sure you’re getting school and teacher communications.

Thank you for helping us keep in contact with your family!
