Schedule for Last Week of School

Final Exams

Final Exams are here! Please help your students finish the school year strong as they prepare for Finals in their core classes. REMEMBER: Friday, May 20 is a required Final Exam day. Please plan ahead so your student does not miss their Finals in 1st and 3rd periods.

The schedule for each day of Finals is 8:00am to 12:30pm, with exams from 8:00-10:00am and 10:30am-12:30pm. Students will have a 30-minute break between Finals (from 10:00-10:30am).

  • Friday, May 20: Periods 1 & 3
  • Monday, May 23: Periods 2 & 4
  • Tuesday, May 24: Periods 5 & 7
  • Wednesday, May 25: Periods 6 & 8

Not all classes have Final Exams. Finals should be given in Socratic (including 7th and 8th grade History and 7th grade English), Math, Science, Language, Financial Literacy, and Government classes. Other classes may also have Finals. Teachers should be in contact to let your students know if there is not a Final in their class. Students are not required to come to class IF the class does not have a Final Exam.

Check-outs

There will be NO check-outs once Finals periods start. Students will be released at the break between Finals, but we will not disturb classrooms during Finals for check-outs. If students on campus but do not have a scheduled Final, they MUST be in their regularly assigned classroom for that class period.

Uniforms

Students are required to be in regular Maeser uniforms if they are on campus, whether or not their class has a scheduled Final. Full Dress Uniforms are NOT required on Monday, May 23.

Yearbook Distribution

Yearbooks will be distributed on Wednesday, May 25, after the end of the last Final Exam (12:30pm). Campus will be open until 3:00pm for students to sign yearbooks. Students may also bring their yearbooks on Thursday for signing after the end of the Awards + Talent Assembly, until 1:00pm.

Textbook Returns

Textbooks should be returned to TEACHERS by the end of the scheduled Final for that class period. If a textbook is not returned to the teacher by the end of their Final, the student’s account will be charged a replacement fee and you will be notified by email. If you have opted in for texts, you will also receive a text. (If you have not yet opted in for texts and would like to, please text “YES” to 67587.) Please watch for these emails/texts because it will be a quick turnaround time to return textbooks or pay the fee!

Students may return a textbook for which they have been charged to have the fee removed:

  • During finals (May 20-25), they need to return textbooks to their teachers.
  • On the last day of school (May 26), they need to return textbooks to the front office.

If students have lost a textbook, please pay the replacement fee by the last day of school.

After the last day of school, we will order replacements and the fees will remain on your student’s account and rolled over to next school year. Any textbooks returned after Thursday, May 26 will be considered donations to the school and the fee(s) will remain on your student’s account and rolled over to next school year.

If you have questions, please contact the finance office at finance@maeserprep.org.
