There will be pumpkin bowling, corn hole, mummy races, pin the leaf on the tree, and other art activities. Students need to be in uniform, PE uniform is absolutely acceptable.
Friday, October 29th (Advisory Friday) is the only day students will be allowed to come to school in costume (NOT on Thursday, October 28th). Students may wear a costume while they are at the school working with teachers if they would like. Please refrain from bringing weapons, wearing inappropriate or gory costumes, and wearing costume masks that cover the student’s whole face.
Trunk Or Treat
This year’s Trunk-or-Treat will take place on Friday, October 29th, from 1:00-2:00pm in the church parking lot right beside Maeser campus (near the light poles). Come decorate your car at noon! Click here to let us know you plan to decorate your car. (Please do not fill the form out if you do not have a car.)
HS Halloween Stomp
The Halloween Stomp is also happening on October 29th from 8pm-11pm in the gym. Stomps are for high school students only. Admission is $5 per person at the door.
**Save The Date** Turkey Trot Fundraiser on November 6th
On the morning of Saturday, November 6th, members of The National Honor Society will be hosting a service event to support the Utah Food Bank. You and your family members will have the opportunity to participate in Maeser’s first ever Turkey Trot 3-mile relay race. Teams of three will run/walk a 1 mile course; each teammate will complete a one-mile loop. The winning team will not only win eternal bragging rights, but will receive a Turkey Trophy to proudly display in their homes!
The entry fee for each team is $15 and all proceeds will be donated to the Utah Food Bank. We will have music and snacks during and after the event. Please watch for more details in the coming weeks on how to sign-up prior to the event…and the day of, for all those last minute deciders. We look forward to seeing you on November 6th. Let’s make this a successful event and hopefully an annual Maeser tradition! Please support this wonderful cause and Maeser’s members of the National Honor Society, who are working hard to make this a reality.
Have you purchased your student’s yearbook yet? The 2021-22 Maeser Yearbook is available to purchase online through Jostens.com.
Yearbooks are currently $55 each (including tax). The price goes up in March — and we often sell out completely before the end of the school year. If you haven’t purchased your student’s yearbook yet, now is the perfect time! Email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Q2 Sports Academic Eligibility
Eligibility for participation in any sports/activities during the 2nd term will be based on 1st term grades. Students (7th-12th) must earn a 2.7 GPA with no Fs/NGs. In addition, high school students cannot have any Fs/NGs/Incompletes from previous high school terms. If the F/NG/Incomplete is made up by the beginning of the sports season they will be able to participate.
All students (middle school and high school) who will be playing sports this year need a physical in order to play. Here is a link to the UHSAA form which Maeser uses for ALL athletes: UHSAA Physical Form
