Now that Quarter 2 grades have been finalized, high school students may be moved from their Winterim groups into Credit Recovery if they have any failing grades or NGs. Seniors will be the first to be moved as this immediately affects impending graduation progress.
Middle School Intensives (MSI) begins on Thursday, January 2nd. School begins at 9:00am and ends at 2:00pm. All middle school students should have received a packet containing more information about MSI and another packet containing permission slips for field trips; these packets were also emailed to parents during Finals Week. Please be sure your middle school student arrives on Thursday morning with a copy of their schedule so they’re not late for class waiting in line at the front desk to figure out where they should be.
Please purchase the following materials BEFORE MSI begins. Questions? Email Mrs. Goodrich: firstname.lastname@example.org.
You will need to bring these items to the SECOND Sewing class:
- 2/3 yard of fleece fabric (60 inches wide) for making 2 hats
- 3 buttons: one 2-hole, one 4-hole, and a shank button
- Two 8-inch squares of print cotton for a quilt square (you may bring extra fabric for more than one quilt square)
If you cannot bring an item, please talk to Mrs. Goodrich BEFORE the first day of the sewing class.
Parents: If you have a sewing machine we can use, please let Mrs. Goodrich know ASAP. Thanks!
Middle School Spelling Bee
We will be holding our annual Middle School Spelling Bee during Middle School Intensives (in the Winterim term). For details, rules, and the word list, click here: Maeser 2020 Middle School Spelling Bee.
Sports/Activities Eligibility Reminder
Eligibility for 3rd term sports/activities in based on your 2nd term grades. All students (7th-12th) grade must earn a 2.7 GPA with no Fs/NGs in order to be eligible. 9th-12th graders must also be on track for graduation.
HS Boys’ Soccer Preseason Workouts
All high school boys who are interested in trying out for soccer are invited to our preseason workouts during Winterim. We will be working out at CrossFit Lehi from 3-4pm, Tuesday through Friday during Winterim. Prospective players must fill out a waiver and bring it to their first workout. There is no charge for these workouts, but athletes are responsible for their own transportation. Questions can be directed to Coach Simmons (email@example.com).
