School Fees

All fees must be paid before students can check out and pick up their yearbooks!

Please keep in mind:

  • Fees may still be assessed to your student’s account for missing textbooks, class materials, library books or locks.
  • Any unpaid fees will be rolled over to next school year and will continue to accrue late fees. If your student is graduating, fees will be moved to a sibling account.
  • Your student may not participate in any sports/activities next school year until they have paid any back fees.
  • If you are having trouble paying your fees and/or have extenuating circumstances, please contact the Finance Office ASAP at finance@maeserprep.org or call 801-235-9000 and ask for Sam or Michelle. We will do our best to work with you. Thanks!

Yearbooks

We’ve just received word that our printer will be able to send us a handful of extra yearbooks, so if you act quickly, you can still purchase a yearbook in person in the front office. If you miss the window, you may add your name to the waiting list in case more become available. Visit the front office to do so. You may also still order a year-end insert ($2) and/or a yearbook DVD through May 20.

Extreme Theatre

Come cheer on our drama students as they perform the theatrical pieces they’ve written and produced in just 24 hours! Performances are TOMORROW (Saturday, May 11) at 6pm.

HS Shakespeare Team Auditions

Be a part of Maeser Shakes! Sign up outside of the Drama Room 126 for a slot Friday the 17th. 60-90 second Shakespeare monologue memorized, rehearsed, and with intention.

Show Choir Concert

Thursday, May 16 @ 7:00pm
Come spend an hour and support Vox Musica, Maeser’s Top Choir and explore music throughout time. 7-8pm in the gym. Free!

Show Choir Auditions

Interested in joining Show Choir next year? (or being an accompanist?) Come audition! Sign up for a time, pick up a short piece of music from Ms. Smith, and come sing! Monday, May 20th in the music room. Sign up sheet is outside the music room door. Juniors and Seniors only. (Sophomores with special permission).

Summer Driver Education Class

There will be a driver education class at Maeser Prep June 3-13 starting at 9:00am. The sign-up sheet will be at the front desk.

2019-20 Concurrent Enrollment Classes

Students planning on taking a Concurrent Enrollment class during the 2019/20 school year (next year) should begin the enrollment and registration process with UVU now! Go to www.uvu.edu/concurrent and follow the steps.

Host Families Needed for Foreign Exchange Students

We still need host families for foreign exchange students who will be coming to Maeser this year! Foreign exchange students make a great contribution to our school, our community, and to your family. Students are carefully selected and screened, and they come with their own health insurance and spending money — all that is required from you is a bed, board and welcome. If your family is interested in hosting an exchange student this year, please call Wendy Waldes for more information: wendywaldes@gmail.com or 801-709-3583.

Sports Announcements

Planning to Play Sports in College?

Students planning on playing sports in college need to be registered with NCAA. Please speak with Mrs. Sorenson for details!

Sports Banquet

The 2018-19 Sports Banquet is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21st at 6:00pm in the gym. This is for all high school students who participated in a sport. Last names A-J bring an appetizer and K-Z a dessert.

Fall Baseball Information Meeting

We will be meeting on Tuesday, May 14 during lunch in Room 151. Any current 8th-11th grade student who is interested in playing baseball during the Fall 2019 season is invited to come practice with us and see what we’re all about. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! Come willing to learn and we will teach you. If you have any questions please contact Coach Gilbert (ted.gilbert@maeserprep.org) or Coach Ensign (mark.ensign@maeserprep.org).

Activities/Sports Eligibility for 1st Term 2019-2020

Do you plan on participating in a sport/activity during the 1st term of the 2019-2020 school year? If the answer is yes then your eligibility will be based on your 4th term grades THIS YEAR. That is correct, the grades you earn this term will determine whether or not you can participate and this applies to all current 7th-11th graders. The standard is a 2.7 GPA with no Fs/NGs. An additional requirement for high school students is no Fs/NGs from any previous high school terms. The good news: if you have an F/NG during any previous terms you will have the summer to make them up if needed.
