Second Semester Class Fees & First Semester Lost Textbook Fees Due This Week!

You were sent an email notification (and a text, if you are signed up for them) if your student has second semester class fees or first semester lost textbook fees. If you want to double-check, you can look on RevTrak, contact our front office or email finance@maeseprep.org. These fees are due on Wednesday, February 28 at 4:00 PM.

REMINDER: if you want to sign up for text alerts when fees are added to your student’s account, text “Y” to 67587 from a mobile number that you gave us for PowerSchool.

Math Girls Rock!

Math Girls Rock! is an after school math club for girls, sponsored by the UVU math department. It is open to all Maeser girls in all levels of math. During our meetings, we explore math topics by using origami, modeling, and games. Our first meeting this year will be on Thursday, February 29th. There will be a fun math activity, treats, and prizes. If you are interested in coming, you will need to fill out a permission slip and return it to Mrs. Plott by February 27th. You can get a copy of the permission slip from Mrs. Plott (or your math teacher). If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Plott (rochelle.plott@maeserprep.org).

Robotics Competition

Next week on Friday and Saturday, March 1st and 2nd, the Robotics Team will be competing in the Utah Regional at the Maverick Center. If any students would like to go cheer them on, we will have the mini-bus available to take students up after Advisory on Friday, March 1st at 12:00pm, returning at 4:30pm. It can accommodate 14 students. Let Mark Summers or Michelle Wagner know if your student would like one of those spots at mark.summers@maeserprep.org or michelle.wagner@maeserprep.org.

11th Grade ACT: Tuesday, March 12

On Tuesday, March 12, all of our 11th-grade students will be taking the ACT. This is a FREE opportunity for all juniors to take the ACT! Administration of this test will follow all ACT standards, so in order to create the required testing environment for our juniors, we have set aside this day for ACT testing only. **Your junior is already registered; you do not need to do anything to sign them up for this ACT administration.**

Tuesday, March 12 will be an ACT-testing-only day for our school. There will be NO SCHOOL that day for students who are not in 11th grade.

Due to the need for an undisturbed testing environment, ACT does not allow us to have any students on campus who are not part of the ACT administration. Please make other arrangements for your students in grades 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12 on March 12 as we will not have space or supervision available for them on our campus that day. As this is an official ACT administration, we will be unable to interrupt testing to check students out. We appreciate your help in ensuring a good testing environment for our juniors!

We encourage all juniors to take advantage of this free opportunity to take the ACT with their classmates on March 12. However, parents who prefer not to send their students to campus for testing can choose to opt their students out of this test by submitting a signed Parental Exclusion Form by Thursday, March 7 (to give us time to excuse your student’s absence and adjust our testing room assignments).

Volunteer Help Needed

We are in need of parent volunteers to help provide breakfast and snacks on ACT Day. Please help our juniors perform at their peak by volunteering here: ACT Day Fuel Up for Students

Can We Reach You In Case Of Emergency?

It’s important to keep your contact information up to date and opt-in to receive text messages from Maeser — in case of an emergency, this is how we notify parents! In addition, we use your contact information to notify you about important school events and school fees deadlines.

Here’s how to make sure you’re getting all of our important announcements and information:

Opt In For School Text Messages

Our school utilizes the SchoolMessenger system to deliver text messages to your mobile phone with important information about events, school closings, safety alerts, student fees, and more. We will only use text messaging for urgent and important information.

You can participate in this service by sending a text message of “Y” or “Yes” to our school’s short code number, 67587.

You can also opt out of text messages at any time by simply replying to one of our messages with “Stop”.

Update Your Contact Information

If any of your contact information has changed – email address, mailing address, phone number – please let us know asap so we can be sure you’re getting school and teacher communications.

Thank you for helping us keep in contact with your family!
