Historic Boys’ Soccer Season

The high school boys soccer team played in the state championship for the first time ever last Friday. Although we came up short, it was a historic season, with our team going 16-2, winning their second consecutive region championship, going undefeated on our home field, and out-scoring our opponents 84-16 on the season. Go Maeser!

Final Exam Schedule

Final Exams start today! Please help your students finish the school year strong as they prepare for Finals in their core classes. REMEMBER: Today (Friday, May 19) is a required Final Exam day with Finals in 1st and 3rd periods.

The schedule for each day of Finals is 8:00am to 12:30pm, with exams from 8:00-10:00am and 10:30am-12:30pm. Students will have a 30-minute break between Finals (from 10:00-10:30am).

  • Friday, May 19: Periods 1 & 3
  • Monday, May 22: Periods 2 & 4
  • Tuesday, May 23: Periods 5 & 7
  • Wednesday, May 24: Periods 6 & 8

Not all classes have Final Exams. Finals should be given in Socratic (including 7th and 8th grade History and 7th grade English), Math, Science, Language, Financial Literacy, CE, and Government classes. Other classes may also have Finals. Teachers should be in contact to let your students know if there is not a Final in their class. Students are not required to come to class IF the class does not have a Final Exam. They are not allowed to wander the school during Finals, so they should plan on being in the right class if they are on campus.

Check-outs

There will be NO check-outs once Finals periods start. Students will be released at the break between Finals, but we will not disturb classrooms during Finals for check-outs. If students are on campus but do not have a scheduled Final, they MUST be in their regularly assigned classroom for that class period.

Uniforms

Students are required to be in regular Maeser uniforms if they are on campus, whether or not their class has a scheduled Final. Full Dress Uniforms are NOT required on Monday, May 22.

Yearbook Distribution

Yearbooks will be distributed TODAY, Friday, May 19, starting at 1:30pm. Students can stay at school and sign yearbooks until 3:00pm. This is still a school activity, so students should remain in uniform until they leave campus. Please make note for your carpool/pick-up schedules. If you need to purchase a yearbook, contact the front desk. First come, first served.

Textbook Return/Replacement Fees

Teachers will gather textbooks from students before or during finals (teachers will give instructions). Any textbooks not returned on time will be charged to student accounts. We will notify parents by email if there is a charge. Students can still return textbooks through noon on the last day of school (Awards Day). After that, the fee will remain on their account for next school year.

NG Make-up

NG make-up should have been completed by Review Day (yesterday), especially seniors who will be participating in graduation activities. There will be service opportunities the week of June 1st as teachers clean up their classrooms for summer. After this, NGs become NCs (essentially Fs) and coursework will need to be remediated.
