LAST CALL To Make Up NGs

We are making the final plea to students to take care of all the attendance issues that can affect their eligibility for extra-curriculars and Winterim. We will be holding the final attendance school sessions on Fridays in September in the library from 9am-1pm. On October 1st, all NGs (no grades) will become NCs (no credit) and your student will need to repeat the course to receive credit.

If you have any questions on your student’s attendance, please contact the attendance secretary: attendance@maeserprep.org.

Middle School Picnic

All middle schoolers are invited to attend our Fall Picnic on Friday, September 17 from 11:30am-1:30pm! Pack a lunch and meet at the school. We will be boarding the bus and traveling to Canyon Glen Park up Provo Canyon. Students must be in a Maeser uniform — PE uniforms are absolutely appropriate. We will have spikeball, volleyball, and a soccer ball for those that would like to play. Students MUST have a permission form signed and returned to either Ms. Ure or Ms. Sadler by Wednesday September, 15th in order to attend.

ACT Prep Course

Sophomore parents: Our Trustlands committee has once again brought our Sophomores the opportunity to take an ACT Prep course for FREE! Sign up here for one of the following sessions:

  • November 4, 11, and 18th
  • January 27, February 3, and 10th
  • March 3, 10, and 17th
  • April 14, 21, and 28th

Please remind your students to consider their sports and extra-curricular schedule when signing up, as they must attend all 3 dates of the session or be charged the $125 course fee.

Not a Sophomore, but still interested? Students in other grades can join the course for $125 (space permitting). Email robyn.ellis@maeserprep.org for interest and we can add the fee to your student’s account for you to pay via RevTrak or in the front office.

This is a great opportunity to prepare for the upcoming PSAT and ACT, which can open doors of possibilities for college and scholarships!

Utah Symphony Group

Students interested in attending four performances of the Utah Symphony need to pay the front office $20 by next Wednesday. Students are responsible for providing their own fare to and from the event. Chaperones will meet at the American Fork and Orem Frontrunner stations and travel with any students that choose to travel via Frontrunner. These are group tickets and will not have any refunds if students are unable to attend. The Utah Symphony has also asked that those that attend performances provide a Covid Vaccination record or negative Covid test. Questions concerning these protocols may be answered on their site: Utah Symphony Health & Safety Information.

The dates we are planning on are listed below:

Brahms Piano Concerto No. 1 (Friday, November 5th)
Chopin Piano Concerto No. 2 (Friday, December 10th)
IF POSSIBLE Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto No. 1 (Friday, February 18th), IF NOT POSSIBLE THEN Ravel, Liszt, John Adams (Friday, February 4th) ??
Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2 (Friday, April 29th)

Questions? Please email Mz. Ure.
