Carpool Reminder

Please pull forward all the way through to the North parking lot to drop off and pick up your student. Do not stop in the front of the building (even right past the Pull Forward Please sign). PLEASE do NOT use the faculty parking lot on the south side as your personal pick up/drop off location. The church asks that you NOT use their parking lots as your carpool or parking lot unless you have special permission. Please see the seminary teachers if you feel you are the exception to their rule. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep our students safe and in being good citizens to our community.

Spring Musical: Video Auditions Due By January 30

All your favorite 1980s pop hits in >Romeo & Juliet: Love is a Battlefield! Audition flyers with details and instructions are available outside the Drama Room, 126. Join the Google Classroom with code: ojetfsu. Video auditions are DUE by MIDNIGHT JAN 30. We will follow/exceed all Theatre-industry safety standards and school extracurricular safety standards. Contact Mr. Hults with any questions.

Poetry Out Loud: February 11

Our Poetry Out Loud school competition will be held February 11 (in person or via zoom pending). Competing students should contact Mrs. Martinez as soon as possible with their poem choices: pat.martinez@maeserprep.org. Thank you!!

Second Semester Fees Due Thursday, February 25

If your student has any second semester class fees, the fee(s) will be added to his/her account this week. If your student has recently enrolled at Maeser for Winterim and/or second semester, he/she will also be charged a prorated student fee, re-enrollment deposit for next school year, Winterim fee (if applicable) and Graduation fee (if applicable). If you have any questions or want to set up an interest-fee payment plan, please contact finance@maeserprep.org BEFORE the due date. After February 25, a $15 late fee will apply. Thank you!

Reporting Your Volunteer Hours/Donations

Did you donate items for Winterim or MSI? Don’t forget to report your volunteer hours: Report Parent Service Hours. Each $5 spent for donations counts as one hour of volunteer service!

Sports Announcements

Sports/Academic Eligibility

Eligibility for winter sports (basketball, wrestling, swimming) and activities will now be based on 2nd term grades for all grade levels. If you are planning on playing a spring sport (boys soccer, boys tennis, track & field, middle school girls soccer, middle school boys volleyball) your eligibility will also be based on your 2nd term grades.

Students (7th-12th) must earn a 2.7 GPA with no Fs/NGs. In addition, high school students cannot have any Fs/NGs/Incompletes from previous high school terms. If the F/NG/Incomplete is made up by the beginning of the sports season they will be able to participate.

Students can listen and email Mrs. Anderson a main point from the podcast to be entered into a weekly drawing. Drawings will take place on Mondays or Tuesdays.
