Winterfest 2021 & This Week’s Schedule

Due to COVID restrictions and to protect our teachers, staff, students, and Maeser community, we have made the difficult decision to delay Winterfest to a later date. We will be publishing a compilation video in the coming weeks to give you a sneak-peek into all the great work our students have been doing!

Regular Winterim and MSI classes will be in session on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week; the school and office will be closed on Monday for Civil Rights Day, as well as Friday and the following Monday for Teacher Work Days so our teachers and staff can get ready for Semester 2.

Remember! Because there is no school on Monday, January 25, students who attend in person on Mondays and Wednesdays should wear Full Dress Uniforms on Wednesday, January 27 (their first in-person day of the week).

ACT Prep Course For Sophomores

Maeser is offering a FREE ACT Prep class for Sophomores during Semester 2. The prep class consists of 3 weekly sessions, held on Wednesdays from 3:45-7:45pm, and your student must commit to attending all three class sessions. There is a 15-student max for each class; sign-ups are first-come, first-served.

The link to the sign-up form was sent to all 10th grade students in their Maeser emails this week — sophomores, check your email and get signed up for this free opportunity!

Sports Announcements

Sports/Academic Eligibility

Eligibility for winter sports (basketball, wrestling, swimming) and activities will now be based on 2nd term grades for all grade levels. If you are planning on playing a spring sport (boys soccer, boys tennis, track & field, middle school girls soccer, middle school boys volleyball) your eligibility will also be based on your 2nd term grades.

Students (7th-12th) must earn a 2.7 GPA with no Fs/NGs. In addition, high school students cannot have any Fs/NGs/Incompletes from previous high school terms. If the F/NG/Incomplete is made up by the beginning of the sports season they will be able to participate.
