Maeser Updates Summer Posting Schedule
Maeser Updates will be on hiatus for the summer break from July 3-24. Weekly Updates posts will resume on Friday, July 31.
PowerSchool Summer Availability
The PowerSchool parent and student portal will be taken offline on Wednesday, July 1, to allow us to perform summer updates and create student schedules for 2020-2021.
The parent and student portals will reopen on Wednesday, August 5 with 2020-21 schedule information. Schedule change information will be given at that time.
If your student is new to Maeser this year, you will receive an email during the week of July 27-31 with your parent login information for PowerSchool.
Help Us Stay In Touch!
Opt In For School Text Messages
Our school utilizes the SchoolMessenger system to deliver text messages to your mobile phone with important information about events, school closings, safety alerts, and more. We will only use text messaging for urgent and important information.
You can participate in this service by sending a text message of “Y” or “Yes” to our school’s short code number, 67587. You can also opt out of text messages at any time by simply replying to one of our messages with “Stop”.

Remember to Update Your Contact Information
If your plans have changed and your student will no longer be attending Maeser this fall, please contact our registrar asap at registrar@maeserprep.org so we can make that seat available to one of the many students on our wait list.
If any of your contact information has changed – email address, mailing address, phone number – please let us know so we can stay in touch with your family.
2020 Summer Reading Program

Maeser Mural Design Contest
Students, would you like to design the next mural at Maeser Prep? Maeser is planning to add a mural on the wall, above the main bleachers, in the gym. Paint or draw your mural design ideas in color, and email them to Mrs. Fosse by August 24, 2020 to be considered. You can also email Mrs. Fosse with questions about the contest.
Maeser School Uniform Policy and Dress Code
We encourage ALL parents and students to review our Uniform Policy and Dress Code to learn why we wear uniforms at Maeser and to understand the dress code.
Due to the current circumstances Maeser will not be accepting Used Uniform donations at this time. We will also not be holding the bi-annual Used Uniform Exchange in August. This year, we encourage you to find family, friends, or neighbors to exchange uniforms with. Host Families Needed for Foreign Exchange Students
We still need host families for foreign exchange students who will be coming to Maeser this year! Foreign exchange students make a great contribution to our school, our community, and to your family. Students are carefully selected and screened, and they come with their own health insurance and spending money — all that is required from you is a bed, board and welcome. Sports Announcements
Sports/Academic Eligibility
Eligibility for fall sports/activities will be based on 4th term grades for all grade levels. Students must have passed all classes with no Fs/NGs. In addition, high school students cannot have any Fs/NGs/Incompletes from previous high school terms. When the 2nd term begins, the school will return the original policy of eligibility being based on students earning a 2.7 GPA.
HS Cross Country Summer Training
Summer training will be on Even days (dates) of the week Monday-Friday generally at 9am. If you would like to be included in the email list, please email Coach Kemper.
HS Girls Soccer
Preseason training is every Wednesday from 9-11am at Aspen Elementary. All are welcome.
Tryouts begin July 27! More details will be posted on the Google Classroom. If you need to be added to the Google Classroom, please email Coach Simmons (dustin.simmons@maeserprep.org).
All players must complete the online registration through registermyathlete.com prior to tryouts.
HS Baseball
Summer practices will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at Rotary Park (400 E 200 S, American Fork) from 9-11am. Please contact Coach Gilbert (ted.gilbert@maeserprep.org) or Coach Ensign (mark.ensign@maeserprep.org) if you have questions.

Summer School remediation emails were sent on June 8. If you have any questions please contact your assigned counselor.
Maeser Online Credit Ahead
Registration for Maeser Online credit ahead is closed. You are welcome to look at other outside sources such as Northridge Learning Center, East Shore and BYU Online High School.
