NHS Fundraisers for the New Auditorium

Maeser Man 2019

In the spirit of resolution, and as an encouragement for you to get out and be your best self, we’re hosting the first ever Maeser Man, 2019. This is an Iron Man, done on your own time, which us usually completed over about 6 weeks. You can sign up for doing a half, or a full Iron Man in that time period. Exercises can be done on a treadmill, stationary bike, outside, at a gym, whenever, and wherever you please. You do the exercise, and, upon completion (before March 8th), you’ll get to pick up your special Maeser Man t-shirt. Feel great about reaching your fitness goals, while contributing to the betterment of our School Community!

Price: $20 per person, $100 per family

In order to be able to order the t-shirts, you must register for the event before March 20th. You can complete it on your own time anytime before the end of the school year.

“Be yourself, but be your best self.” — Karl G. Maeser

Dancing with the Teachers

Dancing with the Teachers is coming up on April 29th, at 6:30pm. Come out with the whole family and enjoy an evening of fun family togetherness. NHS is looking for some items/gift cards/services that we could raffle off during the course of the evening. If you have something you would be willing to donate, please contact Nicole Murray (nicole.murray@maeserprep.org). All donations count towards your family’s service hour requirement for Maeser!

Maeser Finalists in the Utah High School Entrepreneur Challenge

Maeser students Ben Gubler and Brendan Murphy are finalists in the Utah High School Entrepreneur Challenge! To learn more about their project — FamTrack, a family goal tracking platform — and vote for their business idea, visit: HSUEC Best Idea Voting 2019. Voting is open until midnight on March 29. The team with the most votes will receive a $500 cash prize at the HSUEC Awards and Showcase Event on March 30 at the University of Utah, where the top teams of student entrepreneurs will be competing for over $20,000 in cash and scholarship prizes.

Activities/Sports Eligibility Reminder

REMEMBER: eligibility for sports/activities that occur during the 4th term will be based on a student’s 3rd term grades. The standard is a 2.7 with no Fs/NGs. In addition, any NGs/Fs from previous terms/years must be made up in order to be eligible.
