Attendance Reminder
Please remember to check your student’s PowerSchool for attendance-based NGs! The last day of Quarter 3 is March 23rd. Attendance School is held Monday through Thursday during lunch in room 151 ($2 per session). Parents can excuse full-day absences, or first period tardies within 10 school days of the date of the absence by calling the main office at (801) 235-9000 or emailing attendance@maeserprep.org. If your student arrives late to school, remember to call the front office, send a note, or send an email on the DAY OF the late arrival. We are not able to excuse partial day absences if they are not excused on the day of the late arrival or early check-out. If you take your child to the doctor, please remember to ask the doctor’s office for a medical note, which allows us to excuse your student’s absence with an M (medical absence) code. Medical absences are not counted toward NGs.
Galapagos Islands Winterim Meeting
If you’re interested in participating in next year’s Galapagos Winterim, please join us at a meeting this coming Thursday (February 15) at 3:40pm in room 151. We will discuss the itinerary, covered expenses, and registration costs. Note that a significant discount will be ending on February 22nd, so if you’ve been thinking about traveling to the Galapagos Islands and Ecuador with Mrs. Slade and Mr. Kreitzer next year, please sign up soon! HS Boys Soccer Tryouts
High school boys soccer tryouts will be held on Monday, February 26 from 3:30-5:00pm. All boys interested in tryout out for the team must register online at http://www.registermyathlete.com before tryouts. Any students in grades 10-12 who are new to Maeser this year need to talk with Mr. Norris about completing their transfer-of-eligibility paperwork. Any other questions can be directed to Coach Simmons.
Volunteer Help Needed for 11th Grade ACT Day
We need parent volunteers to help provide breakfast and snacks on Tuesday, February 27 at 7:00am for our Junior class, who will be taking the ACT at school. For more information and to sign up: Breakfast & Snacks for the ACT Test on February 27. Thank you!
