Winterim
Winterim is an immersive, three-week learning seminar in January that brings learning to life through hands-on experiences and creative projects. Winterim enhances high school student learning by providing an intensive, focused educational experience and is a great opportunity for students and teachers to explore together subjects that wouldn’t fit into a normal school routine. Exploration, hands-on learning, in-depth study, and fun combine to give students a unique opportunity to explore new interests.

Capstone Projects
The Senior Capstone is the culminating experience of a Maeser education that requires students to apply the skills and knowledge they’ve gained to address a real need or cause. Each Capstone project reflects a commitment to service, gratitude, and leadership. Under the guidance of faculty mentors, seniors research, plan, and execute initiatives that give back to the school or the broader world—from leading service projects and mentoring younger students to partnering with local or global organizations. The Capstone allows students to embody our core values as they use their education to make a meaningful difference.

Broadway Rocks
Broadway Rocks is one of Maeser’s most beloved annual traditions—a high-energy, student-powered Broadway showcase open to every student in the school. Over a fast-paced, immersive 48-hour weekend, Maeser students take the director’s chair as they guide, choreograph, and perform their assigned Broadway numbers. Every group is led by its own creative team, and all are encouraged to participate—whether they’re seasoned performers or stepping onstage for the very first time—making Broadway Rocks one of the most inclusive and inspiring events of the year.
Last Lecture
The Last Lecture is a cherished tradition where the graduating class imparts its final words of wisdom. Weeks before graduation, seniors craft individual lectures—culminating pieces of writing that reflect their experiences and lessons learned. The program is managed by faculty who run writing workshops and brainstorming sessions to guide the class. A panel of faculty judges evaluates all submissions. The ten highest-scoring lectures are selected to be presented at an all-school assembly. While a winner is recognized, all selected lectures (and sometimes more) are professionally printed for the entire Maeser community to read.
Past last lecture can be found on the Maeser Pride Last Lecture playlist.
