Brighton Ski/Snowboard Program

Attention, Skiers and Snowboarders (or those who want to learn)!

In February and March 2021, Maeser students, families, faculty, and staff have the opportunity to take ski or snowboard lessons at Brighton Resort. This is an afterschool activity provided by Brighton for Maeser “friends and families”; the program is not sponsored or run by the school. In order to participate in the activity, the participant must be 8 years old or older.

The ski/snowboard program take place on February 19, 26, March 5, 12, and 19. The lesson will begin at 4:15 pm and the lesson will end at 6:15 pm. Following the lessons, instructors will escort students to the base of the Explorer lift. After the lessons, the students will be able to ski and snowboard by themselves until 9:00pm.

The cost of the ski/snowboard program is $150.00 ($30.00 per student per day). This price includes the lesson and the night pass to ski/snowboard. This is an increase of $5/night from last year because the classes will be need to be smaller due to Covid requirements. In order to participate, all skiers/snowboarders must wear a two layer mask. Also, Brighton is not offering ski and snowboard package rentals this season due to Covid but you may contact them individually about a week-to-week rental at their shop or rent from some other place. Many shops offer season rentals at reasonable prices. You may also choose to bring your own gear. Helmets are highly recommended.

Here is the link to sign up: Maeser Prep Ski & Board Program

If you need to split your payment between a gift card and a credit/debit card, you will need to call Brighton Ski School directly, 801-532-4731 option 6. Let them know that you are signing up for Maeser Ski and/or Maeser Snowboard and need to split your payment between a gift card and other payment method.

If you are paying with one method, the link will work fine. If you have more than one skier/snowboarder, don’t use the continue shopping button. Use the back arrow instead or re-enter the link. The shopping cart should save the previous entry(ies).

If you choose to carpool, please be aware that there must be a guardian or responsible adult with your kids. The adult is welcome to ski/snowboard (and may take lessons or just ski/snowboard without lessons). The adult may also choose to just be on the mountain without skiing/snowboarding (maybe reading in the warm lodge?).
