Lord Steve Dowdle
Socratic Seminar 10 | Print Comm Advisor | Creative Writing
About
Lord Dowdle has been teaching at Maeser since the school’s second year. He is a graduate from UVU in the English education program and a long-time Bardolator (someone who idolizes William Shakespeare’s works). He grew up in Utah Valley, graduating from Timpanogos High School. Nowadays, he enjoys writing, reading, playing video games, painting miniatures, learning new board games, and composing songs on the guitar. Every year during the summer, he visits the Utah Shakespeare Festival, among other memory-making things. At Maeser, besides teaching Socratic Seminar 10, creative writing, and advising print comm, he coaches parts of the Maeser Shakespeare Competition team. He has three boys, Peter, Jeremy, and William. His wife, Gayle, works at Fort Herriman Middle School and sells tiaras as part of her small business. He and his family live in Eagle Mountain.
