Middle School Cornbread and Chili Hoedown

On Friday, April 24 from 12-2:30 the Middle School will be holding their annual Chili and Cornbread Hoedown. Students will gather in the cafeteria for some cornbread and chili then move into the gym in their best plaid, denim, and attitude and be ready to learn basic line dancing and country swing moves.

We are in need of parent volunteers to provide the cornbread and chili. Here is the link to sign up: Cornbread and Chili Signup

Prom 2026

Prom is April 25th at the Bright Building in Provo! This year’s theme is “Secret Garden.” The dance is from 8–11 PM. Tickets are $45 for a couple and $25 stag. Tickets will be on sale in room 147 during lunch April 20-23, and during 4th period on Advisory Friday. Students can pay with either cash or card.

Parent Help Needed

Still need to complete your family’s volunteer hours before the end of the school year?

Maeser Debate Parent Info Meeting

The high school speech and debate program is returning to Maeser in Fall 2026! There will be an information meeting for parents and students on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 7:00 pm in room 224. Email Mr. Harmon ([email protected]) with any questions.

RISE Testing in  7th & 8th grades

Middle school students will begin taking RISE tests this week in their Math classes. Please make every effort to avoid scheduling appointments during state testing, to avoid interruptions and distractions during testing. We appreciate your help in creating a focused and productive testing environment for our students!

Make-up Testing & Parental Exclusions

What if my student has to miss their scheduled testing?

We will be holding make-up testing for RISE during Advisory Friday this week and next week. Students who are unable to complete their make-up testing during Advisory Friday will be pulled out of classes for make-up testing during the first two weeks of May. Missing a test day does not excuse students from state testing. Please make every effort to have your student here on the scheduled testing dates so they can avoid missing class in the last critical weeks of school.

Can I opt my student out of RISE?

While we hope you will allow your student to participate in RISE to help our school improve instruction, we will always respect a parent’s desire to exclude their student from state testing. Though you can submit a Parental Exclusion Form at any point, submitting the form to the school at least 24 hours prior to the test date helps us ensure that your student does not access the test and is not scheduled for make-up testing.

Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4–8)

We’re excited to celebrate our amazing teachers with fun treats and a meal throughout the week—including a popcorn bar, bagel bar, taco bar lunch, and swag bags! We would appreciate a donation of $10-15 per family. Please consider signing up to donate items at this link or Venmo a contribution to @Stephanie-Javid. Thank you for helping us make this week special!
