Lunch Options This Week

On days that the school uses the preorder forms please let your child know they will have 10 minutes to get their lunch and after 10 minutes we will start selling the extras to students who did not preorder.

Parent Handbook

Our 2026 Parent Handbook (Spanish version) has a wealth of information for parents who are getting our Maeser students ready to return to school. Inside the Parent Handbook, you’ll find information about the school schedule, tracking your student’s assignments and grades, finding a carpool, lunch options, Winterim, and more.

Have Your 2026-27 Plans Changed?

If your plans for 2026-27 enrollment have changed and your student will not be attending Maeser Prep, please contact us ASAP to let us know by emailing us at registrar@maeserprep.org. Please include your student’s name, their 2026-27 grade, and the school they will be attending next year, so we can make sure your student’s school file is sent to the correct school.

FTC Robotics Meeting

Interested in robotics? How about business and marketing as well? Come join the robot side! We will be holding an information meeting on Wednesday, August 19 right after school in Mr. Peavler’s room (112). This first meeting is primarily for students, but parents are welcome to attend. Open to all grades. If you have further questions, email lafe.peavler@maeserprep.org

Theatre Info Meeting

On Tuesday, August 18th at 3:45 PM there will be a Theatre Info Meeting (TIM). Any students who want to learn about theatre events happening this semester should attend!

Little Women Auditions

Auditions for the Fall musical, Little Women, will be held on Friday, August 21st from 1-5 PM. Students should prepare 16 bars (about 30 seconds) of a song from a musical. No sign up needed, just show up!

Middle School Shakespeare

Middle School Shakespeare Ensemble has its first meeting and rehearsal on Friday, August 21 at 12:30 PM in the cafeteria. No need to audition! Just come and be part of the cast. Information about fees, schedule, and calendaring will be given at the meeting.

High School Shakespeare

Auditions for the High School Shakespeare Team will be held August 27th from 3:45-6:00 PM in the Drama Room. Students should prepare a 30 second monologue from a Shakespeare play. 

Any one interested in participating in the ensemble scene should come to the Drama room (121) at 12:30 on August 28th. No audition required to participate in the ensemble scene!

Sports Announcements

HS Cross Country Meeting

There will be a high school Cross Country meeting at lunch on Tuesday, August 18th (the second day of school) in room 110. Come join our team!! Our first race will be Friday, August 21st in Orem. MS Cross Country Meeting 

MS Cross Country information meeting will be held on Wednesday the 19th during lunch in room 107A (Weight Room), this will be a quick information meeting for those interested in competing this fall, this meeting will cover fees, schedule, practices, and expectations.  Email Coach Schnurr for more information if needed josh.schnurr@maeserprep.org 

MS Girls Volleyball Tryouts

MS girls volleyball tryouts will be held for 7th and 8th grade girls will be held on Thursday August 20th and Friday August 21st from 6:30-7:45am in the Maeser gym.

Please have your girls get there a few minutes early to check in and get warmed up so we can get started on time. Plan to attend both days. For any further questions, contact Coach Summers at mark.summers@maeserprep.org 

MS Boys Soccer Tryouts

MS boys soccer tryouts (7th & 8th grade) will be held Thursday, August 20 from 4:00-5:30pm and Friday, August 21 from 7:15-8:30am on the Maeser field. Please arrive a few minutes early to check in and do your best to attend both days. For additional information about tryouts and the season, please contact Coach Riss: danielle.riss@maeserprep.org

Sports Physicals

All students, middle school and high school, who will be playing sports during the 2026-2027 school year need a physical in order to try-out. Physicals completed on or after March 10, 2026 will be good until July 15, 2027. Physicals completed before March 10, 2026 are good until July 15, 2026. Here is the link to the UHSAA form which Maeser uses for ALL athletes: UHSAA Physical Form.

2026-27 1st Term Sports Academic Eligibility

9th-12th Graders
Eligibility for activities/sports during the 1st term of the 2026-27 school year for 9th-12th graders will be based on 4th term grades. Students must have earned a GPA of 2.7 with no Fs/NGs. In addition, 10th-12th graders must be on track for graduation. 

7th-8th Graders
Eligibility for activities/sports during the 1st term of the 2026-27 school year for 7th and 8th graders will be based on 4th term grades. Students must earn a GPA of 2.7 with no Fs/NGs.

Counseling Announcements

Counseling Donations Needed

The School Counseling Team needs donations of large bags of individually wrapped candy. Donations can count toward volunteer hours! Candy Details:

  • Type: An assortment, including chocolate, hard candies (like Jolly Ranchers), Tootsie Pops or Rolls, and other assorted bags. Please include some non-chocolate options as well.
  • Quantity: 4–5 bags per month.

Meeting Schedule & Location

Our meeting schedule has changed to the second Wednesday of each month instead of the second Tuesday. The time of 7:00pm will remain the same.  We will continue to meet in the Maeser Library as well as provide an online meeting link. Have questions? Email samantha.stonely@maeserprep.org

Can We Reach You In Case Of Emergency?

It’s important to keep your contact information up to date and opt-in to receive text messages from Maeser — in case of an emergency, this is how we notify parents! In addition, we use your contact information to notify you about important school events and school fees deadlines. Here’s how to make sure you’re getting all of our important announcements and information:

Opt In For School Text Messages

Our school utilizes the SchoolMessenger system to deliver text messages to your mobile phone with important information about events, school closings, safety alerts, student fees, and more. We will only use text messaging for urgent and important information. You can participate in this service by sending a text message of “Y” or “Yes” to our school’s short code number, 67587. You can also opt out of text messages at any time by simply replying to one of our messages with “Stop”.

Update Your Contact Information

If any of your contact information has changed – email address, mailing address, phone number – please let us know asap so we can be sure you’re getting school and teacher communications. Thank you for helping us keep in contact with your family!
