Parent Discipline Policy Acknowledgement Form
Each year, the state requires schools to share their Discipline Policy with parents and guardians and to collect proof that it has been reviewed. This year, we’re collecting that acknowledgement through PowerSchool.
Here’s how to complete it:
- Log in to your parent PowerSchool account at maeserprep.guardian.powerschool.com.
- In the left-hand menu, click Forms (it’s the 7th option down).
- Open the Parent Discipline Policy Acknowledgement Form under Annual Forms.
- Click the link in the form to view the Discipline Policy.
- Return to the form, check the acknowledgement box, and open the small triangle menu to choose Submit for Family.
- Make sure all of your students are selected, then click Submit.
- You should see a confirmation message that says “Submission Complete.” If you don’t, please log in again later and try resubmitting.
Need a quick walkthrough? Watch this short video: Parent Discipline Acknowledgement Tutorial
Thank you for taking a few moments to complete this important annual requirement!

Our first team meeting for high school and middle school students who want to participate in Mock Trial is Friday, October 10th, after school from 12:15-1:00pm in Room 205. There will be treats!

Did your student miss Picture Day or do they need a redo? Picture Retake Day is this Monday, October 13 from 8am to noon. If your student needs a retake and you ordered a photo packet, please be sure to send the original photo packet to school with your student on Retake Day.
NHS Activity
There will be an NHS service activity on October 24th after advisory. We will be making quilts, and putting together other materials with the organization Stitching Hearts. It will go from 12:15 to 2:15 in the cafeteria. Your student can come for some or all of the activity! Come serve, listen to music, and have fun.

Assessment Announcements
11th Grade PSAT: Wednesday, October 15
On Wednesday, October 15, all Maeser Juniors will be given the opportunity to take the PSAT — a pre-SAT test offered by the College Board. This is a free opportunity for our Juniors to enter the National Merit Scholarship Competition. Your Junior is already signed up to take the PSAT.
In order to create a safe and focused testing environment for our Juniors, we have set aside this day for PSAT testing only. There will be NO SCHOOL on October 15 for students who are not in 11th grade. Please make other arrangements for your students in grades 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12 on that day, as we will not have space or supervision available for them on our campus.
If your sophomore or senior has signed up to take the ASVAB that day, they should report directly to the testing location given to them by the counselors.
More detailed information about PSAT day will be sent to Juniors and their parents as we get closer to the day of the test.
We encourage all Juniors to take the PSAT on October 15, both as a free opportunity to practice before taking the ACT and as an opportunity to enter a large scholarship competition. However, parents who prefer not to send their students to campus for testing can choose to opt their students out of this test by submitting a signed Parental Exclusion Form by NO LATER THAN Monday, October 13 (to give us time to excuse your student’s absence and adjust our testing room assignments). These students will be provided with information about how they can enter the National Merit Scholarship competition without taking the PSAT.
Parent Help Needed!
In order to start our students off right on PSAT Day, we offer breakfast and a mid-test snack to keep their brains powered! We would love help from our parents! Please sign up to help here: Junior PSAT Breakfast 2025.
ASVAB Test Sign-ups (Sophomores & Seniors only)
The ASVAB is a career aptitude test designed to help students learn about their skills, interests, and possible career paths. It is available to all students, not just those interested in the military.
Maeser is offering the ASVAB test to sophomores and seniors only on Wednesday, October 15th at 9:00am. Breakfast begins at 8:30am. Spots are limited to 50 participants. Sign up here: ASVAB Registration 10th & 12th Grade Students.
