Math Lab Schedule This Week
Because of AP testing, the morning math tutoring lab will not be available on Monday, May 12th or Wednesday, May 14th. If you are looking for math help, please go to the after school math lab (in room #303) on those days. Math lab will still be available before school on Tuesday and Thursday and after school every day (Monday through Thursday) next week.
Middle School Shakespeare Auditions
Middle School Shakespeare auditions for next fall are happening May 13 through the 15 in Mr. Harmon’s room from 3:45 to 5:15. This is for current 7th and 8th grade students. Students should come with a memorized 30 second monologue, poem, or song lyrics.
Class of 2025 Lagoon Day
This year’s senior Lagoon Day is coming up on May 15th! In order for your 2025 graduate to attend Lagoon Day, they must be eligible for graduation, which also includes having no current or previous NGs. Seniors should check to make sure their name is on the list Mr. Simmons sent out last week – if not, they are not eligible to attend Lagoon.
Lagoon ticket information:
Students will need to purchase their own ticket, which they can do either online or in person. The total cost for admission is about $55, which is a significant discount. Students will take the bus to and from Lagoon. The park hours on school days are shorter, so Lagoon closes at 4pm. You can find more information here.
Senior Sunset & Ball
Our Senior Sunset and Ball for members of the Class of 2025 will be held on Saturday, May 17! Senior Sunset will be in the student parking lot and the ball will be held in The Den. Dress for the Ball is formal. Remember, this is a double event, so come prepared for both!
Final Exam Schedule
Final Exams start next Friday! Please help your students finish the school year strong as they prepare for Finals in their core classes. REMEMBER: Friday, May 17 is a required Final Exam day. Please plan ahead so your student does not miss their Finals in 1st and 3rd periods.
The schedule for each day of Finals is 8:00am to 12:30pm, with exams from 8:00-10:00am and 10:30am-12:30pm. Students will have a 30-minute break between Finals (from 10:00-10:30am).
- Friday, May 16: Periods 1 & 3
- Monday, May 19: Periods 2 & 4
- Tuesday, May 20: Periods 5 & 7
- Wednesday, May 21: Periods 6 & 8

If you haven’t purchased a yearbook yet, please do so through the front office–online purchases for the yearbook are now closed.
Foreign Exchange Students for 2025-26
If your family is interested in hosting a foreign exchange student for next school year (2025-26), please contact one of the foreign exchange agencies that we work with ASAP:
- AYUSA (Jen Ruff, jruff@ayusa.org, 801-787-7833)
- SHARE (Tonya Duncan, tduncan@erdtshare.org, 866-932-3738)
- United Studies (Megan Heward, megselise@gmail.com)
Foreign exchange students are typically 11th graders and MUST come through an exchange agency. The agencies know our requirements for foreign exchange students (such as our high English proficiency level requirement) and will submit the application to Maeser on the student’s behalf (the application is due by May 31).
If you are interested in hosting a family friend from another country to attend school at Maeser, they will need to come through a CSIET-approved foreign exchange agency (it’s a visa thing). They will also need to meet the Maeser foreign exchange student requirements (high English proficiency level, etc).
If you have questions, please contact our registrar at registrar@maeserprep.org. Thanks!

Share Your Story
As we work to raise funds for our new Fine Arts Center, we want to show potential donors what truly makes our school special. We are gathering real stories of how this school has shaped students’ lives. Have you seen your child grow in confidence, discover their passion, or use their talents to make a positive impact? Whether it’s a moment in the arts, athletics, academics, service, or leadership, we want to hear about it! Some ways you can share are: 1) Send us a personal experience that highlights the school’s impact, 2) If you have photos or videos that capture these moments, we’d love those too!, 3) Know an alum doing something amazing? Let us know!, and 4) Identify things the school does that make us so unique and are valuable for our students. Submit ideas to maeser.advancement@maeserprep.org or join our online forum for Maeser parents to discuss ideas and see volunteer opportunities at https://maeservolunteers.freeforums.net/.
Report Your Volunteer Hours
DON’T FORGET! Report your volunteer hours once you’ve dropped off your donation: Report Parent Service Hours. Each $5 spent for donations counts as one hour of volunteer service!
