Lunch Options This Week

On days that the school uses the preorder forms, please let your child know they will have 10 minutes to get their lunch and after 10 minutes we will start selling the extras to students who did not preorder.

TODAY: Deadline To Place Class of 2025 Graduation Orders

Today is the deadline to order graduation products – like caps & gowns, class rings, etc! Please place your order with Jostens for your student’s graduation products before midnight tonight (Friday, November 1).

Order online by November 1st:

*NOTE- all tassels and caps and gowns will be delivered in our custom school colors. Caps and Gowns will be delivered to the school in the spring closer to graduation. Other items will be mailed directly to you.

2025-26 Re-Enrollment & Applications Now Open

Please remember that you must re-enroll each of your students who will be returning NEXT school year by Wednesday, November 20 at 4:00 PM.

If you miss this window, your student(s) will lose priority status for next year and will have to re-apply without current student priority status.

Re-enrollment is completed through your PowerSchool parent portal. Be sure to use a browser (not the app) and sign in using your parent PowerSchool account credentials (not your student’s account credentials). Pay the $50 re-enrollment deposit on RevTrak or to the front office.

If you need help with your PowerSchool parent login (make sure you’re not using your student’s PowerSchool login), please call the front office at 801-235-9000 or email info@maeserprep.org. If you have any other questions, please email registrar@maeserprep.org.

If you have other children starting at Maeser next year, you need to submit an application for them by January 31 to be in the lottery (it will ask you if they have a current sibling here, which will give them priority status). Applications can be found at https://maeserprep.org/admissions.

Math Girls Rock!

Math Girls Rock! is an after school math program sponsored by UVU. The next meeting of Math Girls Rock will be held on Thursday, November 14th, right after school. If you have already turned in your permission slip, you don’t need to turn in another one. If you need a permission slip, please contact Mrs. Plott (rochelle.plott@maeserprep.org). This program is open to all students (boys, girls, high school, middle school) in any level of math. As always, we will do fun math, have treats, and win prizes.

Volunteer Opportunities

National Honor Society Student Service Opportunity

Next Friday, November 8th from 12-1pm, students will have the opportunity to help create mats for the homeless out of recycled plastic bags. If you have any plastic bags that we can use, send them with your student on Friday, November 8th. They can come and help us make the mats! If you have any questions, email the NHS advisor Aly Hong (aly.hong@maeserprep.org).

Sports Announcements

HS Swimming

Our first meet is coming up on November 2 at the Orem Rec! 8:15-12:00 please come support Maeser swimmers!! Any questions about swim team, please contact: becky.brough@maeserprep.org.

HS Girls Basketball Tryouts

Tryouts for high school girls basketball (grades 9-12) will be held on Monday, November 11th from 4-6pm. Contact Coach Norris (jared.norris@maeserprep.org) if you have any questions. Eligibility will be based on 1st term grades (2.7 GPA with no Fs/NGs).

2nd Term Sports Academic Eligibility

Eligibility for activities/sports during the 2nd term will be based on 1st term grades. Students must have earned a GPA of 2.7 with no Fs/NGs. In addition, 10th-12th graders must be on track for graduation.

Sports Physicals for 2024-25

All students, middle school and high school, who will be playing sports in 2024-25 need a physical in order to play. Physicals completed on or after March 10, 2024 are good until July 15, 2025. Any physicals completed before March 10, 2024 will not be accepted (per UHSAA policy) for the 2024-25 school year.

Counseling Announcements

Counseling Donations

The School Counseling team is in need of large bags of individual sized candy. You can use this towards your volunteer hours!

Kind: an assortment- chocolate, hard candy like jolly ranchers, tootsie pops or rolls, whatever comes in the assorted bags is fine. We would like some non-chocolate as well.

Amount Needed: 4-5 bags/month

Can We Reach You In Case Of Emergency?

It’s important to keep your contact information up to date and opt-in to receive text messages from Maeser — in case of an emergency, this is how we notify parents! In addition, we use your contact information to notify you about important school events and school fees deadlines.

Here’s how to make sure you’re getting all of our important announcements and information:

Opt In For School Text Messages

Our school utilizes the SchoolMessenger system to deliver text messages to your mobile phone with important information about events, school closings, safety alerts, student fees, and more. We will only use text messaging for urgent and important information.

You can participate in this service by sending a text message of “Y” or “Yes” to our school’s short code number, 67587.

You can also opt out of text messages at any time by simply replying to one of our messages with “Stop”.

Update Your Contact Information

If any of your contact information has changed – email address, mailing address, phone number – please let us know asap so we can be sure you’re getting school and teacher communications.
