Have Your 2024-25 Plans Changed?
If your plans for 2024-25 enrollment have changed and your student will not be attending Maeser Prep, please contact us ASAP to let us know by emailing us at registrar@maeserprep.org. Please include your student’s name, their 2024-25 grade, and the school they will be attending next year. We are sending out record requests for our new students and want to help you avoid having your student’s school file sent to the wrong school. We are also creating schedules for next year and want to make sure students can get into the classes they’ve requested.
Thanks so much for your help in keeping our records up to date!
Maeser Updates Summer Posting Schedule
Maeser Updates will be on hiatus for the summer break from July 1-25. Weekly Updates posts will resume on Friday, July 26.
PowerSchool Summer Availability
The PowerSchool parent and student portal will be offline beginning Friday, June 28 to allow us to perform summer updates and maintenance, and to create student schedules for 2024-25.
The parent and student portals will reopen on Monday, August 5 with 2024-25 schedule information. Schedule change information will be given at that time.
If your student is new to Maeser this year, you will receive an email between August 1-4 with your parent login information for PowerSchool.
2024-25 Academic & Activities Calendars
Our 2024-2025 school calendar has been approved and is posted on our website under the Parents drop-down menu. Please be aware that Orientation day for all incoming and new students is Friday, August 9. School starts for everyone on Monday, August 12 and our last day of school (graduation) will be May 23, 2025.
We realize this start date is early! By aligning our calendar closely with the Alpine School District, families with students at Maeser and at district schools are better able to coordinate their schedules.
Looking for our calendar for games, dances, and other school activities?
Our Activities Calendar is also posted on our website under the Parents drop-down menu.
Summer Reading
There are so many great books out there, and we encourage you to spend time reading some of them this summer. The community book this year is Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
Here are the 2024 Summer Reading Lists. We’ll be having a special summer reading book club at the end of the summer, so grab a book, curl up on the grass under the shade of a nice tree, and lose yourself in literature!
Utah Aspire Plus Scores Now Available
Utah Aspire Plus scores for 9th and 10th grade students are now available in the Utah Aspire Plus Parent Portal.
To access your student’s scores, you will need their State Student Identifier. You can find this number in your PowerSchool parent account, under your student’s name (look for “State ID number”).
To help you access, read and interpret your student’s score report, please download the Utah Aspire Plus Score Interpretation Guide for Parents.
Fall Used Uniform Sale
All Maeser families are invited to join us on Wednesday, August 7 from 6-8 PM in the Maeser Gym for the Used Uniform Sale. This sale is an opportunity to allow parents to sell their old uniforms, (please hang onto them from this school year and bring them to sell) and for parents to purchase needed uniforms in good condition at a low cost.
Volunteer: Please sign up to help us run the sale!
https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050F45ABAA2AAAF58-49502315-maeser
We will only be selling items that parents bring to sell. Please bring your used uniforms to sell!
To SELL items: Drop off labeled items (envelope safety pinned to item, labeled with Name, Phone, Venmo QR code, Description, Price) that have been laundered along with the Parent Waiver Form (filled out) to the volunteer at Maeser (lunchroom) on Wednesday Aug 7, 8:30-9:30am or 3:30-6:00pm. All unsold items need to be picked up within 30 minutes of the close of the sale. Any money or clothing not picked up will be considered a donation to the school.
To BUY items: The used uniform sale is mostly CASH ONLY — bring lots of $1 and $5 bills. If parents who are selling items would like to write their Venmo Username (with QR code or last 4 digits of phone) on their envelopes, you can use Venmo, too. Checks and credit cards will not be accepted.

Volunteer Opportunities
Gift Cards for Teachers
Thank you for your support this year. Your generosity with bringing in food and helping with various needs has been overwhelming. Thank you!
At this time, we are asking for gift cards to give to teachers when they want to purchase items (including food) for various class activities, and for the administration to give to teachers for a pat on the back and a token of appreciation. If you’re inclined please review the available slots and click on the button to sign up: Gift Cards for Teachers.
Teacher Appreciation Donations
Thank you to those who have donated treats and goodies the past few months. We would like to resupply the faculty lounge with a variety of treats/drinks. The following link has an updated signupgenius that has a variety of items listed that are popular with the staff, but is not limited to those items only. If you can help, please visit the following link to sign up (can be used for volunteer hours!): Help Provide Teacher Treats. Thank you for your generosity!
Report Your Volunteer Hours
DON’T FORGET! Report your volunteer hours once you’ve dropped off your donation: Report Parent Service Hours. Each $5 spent for donations counts as one hour of volunteer service!

Can We Reach You In Case Of Emergency?
It’s important to keep your contact information up to date and opt-in to receive text messages from Maeser — in case of an emergency, this is how we notify parents! In addition, we use your contact information to notify you about important school events and school fees deadlines.
Here’s how to make sure you’re getting all of our important announcements and information:
Opt In For School Text Messages
Our school utilizes the SchoolMessenger system to deliver text messages to your mobile phone with important information about events, school closings, safety alerts, student fees, and more. We will only use text messaging for urgent and important information.
You can participate in this service by sending a text message of “Y” or “Yes” to our school’s short code number, 67587.
You can also opt out of text messages at any time by simply replying to one of our messages with “Stop”.
Update Your Contact Information
If any of your contact information has changed – email address, mailing address, phone number – please let us know asap so we can be sure you’re getting school and teacher communications.
Thank you for helping us keep in contact with your family!
